Nashville Motos is proud to be a BMW Authority dealer offering the 2026 BMW R1300 RT-P Police Motorcycle, now available to order for law enforcement agencies. BMW Authority motorcycles are renowned worldwide for their exceptional handling, advanced engineering, and proven reliability in real-world patrol environments.

At Nashville Motos, we specialize in supporting agencies through the evaluation, ordering, and deployment process to ensure the right configuration for their mission.

We have already partnered closely with Nashville METRO Police Department, assisting with their transition to BMW Authority motorcycles, and are currently working with the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) as they evaluate two new BMW Authority models for internal testing. Our goal is to provide agencies with a patrol motorcycle that enhances officer safety, performance, and long-term value.

Program Leadership

Leading our Authority program is Matt Thurman, Nashville Motos’ BMW Authority Sales Representative.

Matt served 20 years in law enforcement with the City of Beverly Hills Police Department in California, where the majority of his career was spent as a Motor Officer riding BMW Authority motorcycles. He also served as a Lead Motor Instructor, helping train officers while relying on BMW’s unmatched balance, braking, and durability in demanding conditions.

With firsthand experience on the street and the training ground, Matt understands the unique needs of motor units and works directly with agencies to ensure a smooth, informed purchasing process.
